Bayesian models are becoming more and more commonplace in linguistics. In this two-day workshop, I will introduce students to the basics of Bayesian modelling. Attendees will learn to fit mixed models with the brms package (Bürkner, 2017), to understand how to interpret these models, and to make educated choices about priors. No prior background in Bayesian analysis is required, however, attendees should have at least rudimentary knowledge of R and RStudio for the practical exercises. After the workshop, I will be available for a third day to offer consulting for statistical analyses. About a month prior to the workshop, I will distribute preparation instructions for the workshop.
