All pupils from schools in Germany who have not yet enrolled for studies and are at least 14 years old and not older than 20 years on the first day of the Olympiad can take part.
The tasks do not require any prior technical knowledge. Fun with patterns, non-decimal number systems and foreign languages is of benefit.
The German team will be selected in three rounds:
1) The first round is an online test, running from February 1st to February 29th! Find the puzzles here!
2) The highest-scoring participants of the online test will take part in the second round. The second round is also an online round, whose tasks are more extensive and demanding.
3) The 10 best candidates in the second round will be invited to Berlin. There will be a joint training and the final selection round.
The four most successful participants travel to the International Linguistics Olympiad together with a supervisor from our team.
