Scientific integrity principles and best practices serve to ensure scientific honesty and to guide researcher’s working methods and behaviour. They aim to counteract scientific misconduct and set in place rules for respectful and fair dealings between researchers.
The Leibniz-Centre General Linguistics (ZAS) follows the "Guidelines on Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice in the Leibniz Association" and the German Research Foundation’s (DFG) Code of Conduct "Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice".
In the event of conflicts regarding scientific integrity principles and questions regarding suspected scientific misconduct, employees can contact the ZAS’s or Leibniz Association’s ombudsman/woman. The ombudsman/woman handle information and enquiries independently and confidentially.
