Research on this theme will be twofold. On the one hand, we are interested in investigating linguistic properties of a wide variety of typologically, areally, and genetically diverse languages. On the other hand, we are interested in the linguistic behavior and competence of different speaker groups within the same and across linguistic communities. The two axes of language diversity and speaker diversity systematically interact and we aim to fully describe and model this  interaction.
