Dr. habil. Dagmar Bittner is a senior researcher in the Research Area 2 'Language Development & Multilingualism' and the Equal Opportunity Commissioner of the ZAS.

Her research topics are: monolingual language acquisition (morphology-syntax, information structure, discourse development), language impairment in children (lexical and grammatical development), language development over the life-span (factors in the variation of linguistic competence, changes in language use leading up to dementia), and Germanic linguistics (morphology, syntax, and information structure of German).
