A research group newly approved by the German Research Foundation (DFG) is devoted to bilingualism. Under the title Research Unit: Emerging Grammars in Language Contact Situations: A Comparative Approach (RUEG), eight individual linguistic projects at the Universität Potsdam, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Universität Stuttgart, Leibniz-Zentrum Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft (ZAS), Technische Universität Kaiserslautern and Universität Mannheim will work together over the next three years.
The new projects at ZAS are: Nominal morphosyntax and word order in Heritage Greek across majority languages (Artemis Alexiadou) and Nominal morphosyntax and word order in heritage Russian across majority languages (Natalia Gagarina & Luka Szucsich).
