Vinicius Macuch Silva, former staff member of the Centre for General Linguistics (ZAS) in the ERC project SPAGAD from 2021 to 2022, successfully defended his dissertation in cognitive science at the University of Osnabrück on 11 April 2023. The dissertation is entitled "Making meaning out of epistemicity markers (and scalars): A psycholinguistic investigation of incremental pragmatic interpretation". Vinicius will continue his research at the University of Birmingham. We warmly congratulate Vinicius and wish him every success in his future academic endeavours.
