Dr. Clemens Mayr appointed to the University of Göttingen

Dr. Clemens Steiner-Mayr has accepted a call to the University of Göttingen for a professorship in Semantics and Pragmatics. He received his doctorate from Harvard University in 2010, habilitated at Humboldt University in 2017 and has been a member of the ZAS since 2012, most recently as head of a project on semantic constraints on interrogative embedding (SemConIE). He has worked on numerous topics such as implicatures, alternative references, quantifiers and questions, including sign language.
