PD Dr. Tue Trinh is a senior researcher in the ERC projekt Speech Acts in Grammar and Discourse (SPAGAD) / Research Area 4 'Semantics & Pragmatics'.
His work pertains to a number of different topics in syntax, semantics and pragmatics including linearization, nominal classifiers, biased questions, scalar implicatures, sentence perspectives, and numerical statements. The central question of his recent research is how much is represented in the formal structure of a sentence that is also conveyed through its utterance. Tue is also interested in the grammar of Vietnamese, of which he is a native speaker.
