Dr. Livia Sommer is a researcher in the Research Area 3 'Syntax & Lexicon' and works at ZAS on updating an extensive MySQL database on (German) clause-embedding predicates.

Her linguistic interests lies in the syntax-semantics interface, especially compositional aspect and psych verbs. Her Ph.D. project at the Humboldt University in Berlin looks at the effects of definiteness in German and English stative psych and non-psych verbs.
