The workshop is intended for presentation of ongoing work on speech act theory. The programme will be online about 4-6 weeks in advance of the workshop. We expect talks on the following topics:

  • Embedding of speech acts (sub-sentential level) 
  • Combination of speech acts in discourse/dialogue 
  • Indirect speech acts and implicature 
  • Speech acts and sentence mood 
  • Grammaticalisation of speech acts (typology) 
  • Formal models of speech acts 
  • Experimental investigations in speech act interpretation
