The project “Multilingual School” seal of approval (Gütesiegel „Mehrsprachige Schule“) supports schools on their way to being recognized as a “multilingual school” and promotes the development of multilingual skills and measures at schools. It is based on three central pillars. The first pillar focuses on expanding existing assessment tools to capture the multilingual environment of pupils in detail and measure progress in multilingual school development. The second pillar involves analyzing the surveys using the self-evaluation tool “WEGWEISER”, which has already been used to assess and document the implementation of multilingual measures in schools. The third pillar aims to use the results to develop concrete recommendations for support on the way to the “Multilingual School” seal of approval and practical approaches for improving multilingual education.
