Dr. Elina Rubertus is a researcher in Research Area 1 'Laboratory Phonology and in the ANR/DFG-funded project VOC2SPEAK - An integrative-interactive approach to speech development.
Her research focuses on speech acquisition and what it reveals about the phonological principles of language. To this end, she conducts acoustic and articulatory measurements on 3- to 9-year-old children's and adults' speech. In order to take a more holistic view of language acquisition, she is currently expanding her focus to include breathing, movement, and interaction in early childhood.
