Dr. Miriam Oschkinat is a researcher in Research Area 1 'Laboratory Phonology and the DFG-funded CRC 1412 Register-Project C02 Variation in Situated Interaction.

Her research focuses on the perception-production loop in speech and the cognitive representation of speech timing. She examines differences in spectral and temporal processing in speech and music, alongside the cognitive and articulatory characteristics of stuttered speech. Her recent projects extend into sociophonetic investigations, with a particular emphasis on how space and interlocutors influence the acoustic properties of speech.
