Ari Joshi is a doctoral researcher at ZAS in the Leibniz Competition-funded project Linguistic Meaning and Bayesian Modeling.
Her research interests lie across semantics, pragmatics, and psycholinguistics. In her doctoral project, she studies metalinguistic negation in order to better understand how utterances echoing (and expressing something about) other people’s words can be analysed. She also works on probabilistic modelling of quantifier production and has a special fondness for linguistic illusions.
