Dr. Paloma Jeretič is a postdoctoral researcher in the ERC project Realizing Leibniz’s Dream: Child Languages as a Mirror of the Mind / Research Area 4 'Semantics & Pragmatics'.

Jeretič's research focuses on semantics and pragmatics, and its interfaces with syntax. Her theoretical work is couched in cross-linguistic investigation, drawing from introspective judgments, fieldwork data and experimental methods. Her main research topics are scalar implicature, alternatives, negation, modality.
