Dr. Sveta Fichman (Bar-Ilan University, Hadassah Academic College) will join ZAS as a fellow in September 2021. Sveta Fichman received her PhD in 2018 at Bar-Ilan University, English Literature and Linguistic Department. In her PhD thesis, Sveta Fichman examined narrative skills of bilingual children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), focusing on narrative macrostructure skills. Currently her main research interests relate to the interfaces between Bilingualism and Speech-Language Disorders (DLD and Fluency Disorders). During her collaboration with ZAS she will be working on the development of diagnosis instruments for (bilingual) developmental language disorders and on heritage language change.
