Susanne Fuchs awarded a professor fellowship at Iméra in Aix-Marseille

16.08.2024

Congratulations to Susanne Fuchs, who was awarded a professor fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Study (Iméra) of Aix-Marseille University. She will join the institute from September 2024 to January 2025. During her visit, she will work on two strands of research: On the one hand, she will investigate developmental trajectories in the coordination between vocalizations and expiratory airflow in babies (starting from the pre-babbling stage). On the other hand, she will work in the field station investigating the coupling between breathing phases with pointing movements in baboons solving specific tasks. For this purpose, some pilot experiments will be carried out using thermographic recordings. Susanne Fuchs will work in close cooperation with researchers from Laboratoire Parole et Langage, Centre PsyClé, and the Laboratoire de Psychologie Cognitive.
