We congratulate Dr. Ludger Paschen on the successful completion of his habilitation thesis on “Phonetic Corpora” at Humboldt University in Berlin. Until recently, Ludger Paschen was a researcher in Research Area 1, Laboratory Phonology, where he worked at the interface between phonetics, phonology, and morphology. He has conducted research on phenomena such as mutation, reduplication, final lengthening, and click sounds. Methodologically, he is interested in the development of comparative linguistic corpora for systematic language comparison.
