As part of the flyer series "Achieving bilingualism", scientists from Research Area 2 Language Development & Multilingualism have developed a further flyer, namely on the topic of "Language and Gender". The flyer explains the meaning of the term "grammatical gender" and informs in what way knowledge about it can help in learning German. It also provides tips on how to use gender-fair language. The flyer is currently available in German and English.
The BIVEM flyer series was created on the initiative of the Berlin Interdisciplinary Network for Multilingualism (BIVEM) and serves to inform educational professionals, parents of multilingual children and other interested parties. The aim is to provide concise information on various topics under the heading "Achieving Bilingualism". The flyers are published in German, Arabic, English, French, Persian, Russian and Turkish.
