LeibnizDream Seminar Week at ZAS

30.09.2024

Between 23. and 26. September 2024, the scientists of the ERC Synergy Project LeibnizDream met for their annual meeting to inform each other about the progress of the individual studies as well as to develop and advance further studies in intensive working group meetings. This year, several international collaboration partners joined the meeting. The guests travelled from Brazil, Georgia, Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. A tour of the Reichstag building and a visit to the Futurium provided the opportunity to get to know each other better outside of the scientific discussions.

The project ‘Realising Leibniz's Dream: Child Languages as a Mirror of the Mind’ is a synergy project that is being carried out together with researchers from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Italian University of Milano-Bicocca. The project is funded by the European Research Council over a period of 6 years. In particular, the project is investigating children's erroneous utterances, which could provide clues as to the logic behind human thought. The project group is working with almost 50 external collaboration partners worldwide who are carrying out the same studies with children in their own languages.
