CRIS days in the Geisteswissenschaftlichen Zentren Berlin

05.11.2024

The Geisteswissenschaftlichen Zentren Berlin (ZAS, ZMO and ZfL) jointly hosted the CRIS days. This two-day workshop as part of the ‘Strengthening Research Information Systems’ initiative focused on networking, discussions and forums for exchanging experiences. About 60 people (mostly from Leibniz Association institutions) took part and enriched the event with presentations, expert knowledge and lively discussions. There was great interest in exchanging experiences and a lot of initiative for the introduction of CRIS and collaboration on CRIS topics.

About CRIS

CRIS (Current Research Information System) refers to an information system that is a continuously updated, comprehensive directory of researchers and research activities (e.g. publications, projects and patents) at a research institution. The central aim of the ‘Strengthening Research Information Systems’ initiative is to promote the use of up-to-date research information systems in the Leibniz Association. The 96 institutes and the Leibniz Association Head Office are to be enabled to collect, process and exchange standardized information faster and better and to make it available in a variety of ways.
