Prof. Dr Dr h.c. Artemis Alexiadou, Director of ZAS, will be speaking as an expert at the British Academy conference ‘Mind the Gap: Language Development is Key for Inclusive Education and Wellbeing’ on 27 March. The conferences from the British Academy bring together academics and specialists from around the world to discuss new research findings in the humanities and social sciences. The conference on 26-27 March 2025 will focus on the importance of language skills for lifelong wellbeing and educational success. The conference will set the agenda for a better understanding of language development in late childhood and adolescence across all populations.
By linking knowledge across different disciplines, it aims to raise awareness among policy makers and society of the urgent need for better language assessment and support.
