For the first time since 2012, a German team will be participate in this year's International Linguistic Olympiad (IOL). In preparation, André Meinunger and Nathalie Topaj trained four pupils at ZAS and will accompany them to the competition in Prague from July 26th to 30th. At the Olympiad, the participants will have to analyse data from languages unknown to them and present precisely justified representations of the linguistic phenomena analysed.
In 2012, the German team came home with a silver medal and an honourable mention. We wish you every success for this year as well!
