ZAS manages project on threatened Brazilian languages

ZAS takes on the administrative management of the project The living ethnolinguistic heritage of the Aikanã and Kwaza of Rondônia Brazil, sponsored by the Volkswagen Foundation and headed by Dr. Hein van der Voort, Museu Goeldi, Belém, Brazil, with employees Dr. Joshua Birchall and Dr. Lisa Grund. The project documents aspects of the language and culture of two neighbouring, isolated (unclassified) languages, each with a few dozen speakers.
