This workshop aims to bring together young researchers working in the field of discourse in language acquisition.
For a long time research in the field of language acquisition meant to examine the different linguistic fields in isolation – e.g. syntax, semantic, conversational pragmatics etc. Today, researchers more and more emphasize and investigate acquisition processes from a different perspective: language acquisition is seen as determined by various types of interaction between the different domains. Starting from this perspective the workshop will focus on interactions in the acquisition of discourse structure and semantic and syntactic phenomena. All speakers will present new studies as well as work in progress.
